Hellenic Post wishes to inform that the General Confederation of Greek Workers and the Association of Civil Servants announced a 24-hour strike on Wednesday 9th November. In addition air traffic controllers announced a six-hour work stoppage from 10:00-16:00 (local time) on the same date. These actions affected international mail collection and delivery.
The United States is celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday 24th November 2022 meaning organisations will be closed including the USPS. Slight delays with the collection, delivery and processing of mail items are to be expected due to the bank holiday.
Our US office in New Jersey will also be closed for the celebration and will reopen on Friday 25th November 2022.
The major Belgian Unions have called for a day of manifestations and strike actions across all sectors, commencing 00:01 CEST on the 9th November 2022.
The industrial action will affect the handling, processing and delivery of mail and parcel items. As these manifestations and strike actions will be happening across all sectors, the services of the partnering ground handlers and airlines will also be affected and delays are to be expected.
As reported in the news the M25 is very congested due to protests blocking major roads linking to the M25. This will likely affect the transportation of goods and mail items in and around the M25.

The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has announced it is withdrawing strike action on the 12th and 14th November 2022.
The CWU announced they would be notifying Royal Mail, they plan to call on their members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take national strike action on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th November and Wednesday 30th November and Thursday 1st December 2022.
They will do what they can to keep services running, but customers should expect significant disruption. During the strike action they will:
